MSC Bought J&L...

MSC (AKA Manhattan Supply Company) bought J&L and Enco within the last few years. They all have good service.

Enco has a ongoing promotion of free shipping for orders over $25. They also do not charge sales tax. If you sign up for their "Hot Deals" flyer and give an e-mail address you'll get the free shipping promo code.

Enco has a lot of imported stuff and you may wind up at MSC or J&L or McMaster-Carr for some items where high end quality is desired. But they do have a fair amount of Starrett, Cleveland Twist Drill, Niagra, etc., good quality stuff also. I always go to the Enco catalog or website first.

And an added bonus for those of us on the west coast- the free shipping usually gets the order to you within two business days, sometimes overnight.

Just ran the 11th. code was MWmania40f I just got lucky. was going to order from them the afternoon of the 10th, but got tied up. When I went into the shop this morning the promo was on the fax machine. Must be livin right.
