Mossberg 144LSB

I just inherited a Mossberg 144LSB. I haven't had the opportunity to shoot it yet. Anyone know anything about these rifles? Were they an accurate rifle for what they are? It came to me with an old 10X Unertal. Is there a particular brand of ammo that they usually like? Any info is appreciated.
