I just purchased a box of Nosler Custom Comp bullets 6mm 105s, 250 count. I measured them ogive to base. They were with in +/-.0005. Most being exact ( over 90%). I had about 8 bullets that ran .0015-.0010 longer. I pulled them for foulers. I weighed them after I sorted them. They ran 104.8, 104.7, 104.6. My scale does not weigh any more precise. I had the least of the 104.6s maybe 40. I was going to use them for load work up. .8s and .7 were about evenly divided.

This is only the 2nd time I have sorted bullets. What else can be done? Is a 1/10th grain up or down going to cause a flier? I will be picking up a better tool for OAL. I used a Stoney point and Mitutoyo digital calipers. Who makes a better tool? What is good enough when weighing and sorting to eliminate those unexplained fliers? I am looking forward to shooting these to see how they perform.
