Has anyone done any tests on molly coating revolver barrels for cast bullets that would care to share there findings?

In my humble opinion don't at the height of the Moly craze I was shooting lead in a 1911 I coated bullets and barrel and followed all directions as to cleaning after a few hundred rounds barrel was impossible to clean and after time it took on a pitted look while accuracy was still good it looked horrible I purchased a new barrel and never used moly again.

That seems to be a new alternative from Moly. The Moly, as I understand it, from reading a post a couple years(?) ago here, had a tendency to "clump up" and cause problems because of it's rigidity. The hexagonal Boron Nitride isn't supposed to exhibit that nasty tendency. I have been considering making up a mould to cast a tube of bullet lubricant, so I could lube cast bullets with it. I just KNOW that will be messy as all get out, but I want to try it, anyway. I have been thinking about how much, proportionately, to mix in, but I'll give it some more thought. I have been using the hBN in a lubricant I put in the bore of my centerfires I shoot jacketed bullets in, and I like it......and I know thats a subjective endorsement, but, I have good reason to believe it has helped to keep some of the nastier forms of fouling, down to nothing, particularly copper. I'll try it in my 6MM this year, and see how it goes......
