Dang,
I asked a question on one of the Calfee threads before I went to bed, woke up this morning, and the thread is gone!!??
Was my question too controversial?? I thought it was a legitimate one
Oh well
Melvin

I doubt it had much to do with you. Looks like Wilbur is doing a little house cleaning.

Thanks Wilbur

And on the "Ninth Day", Wilbur had his say..........

I guess the thread was leading to the embarrassment of Bill - and possibly some others. No one wants to see this so maybe Wilbur did right, however it was too late.

Yes

It was too late on so many levels. The hesitation was based largely on my respect for Beau and somewhat on a complete loss for a win/win solution.

I never had a chance to see if there was a response to my question. If someone did have an answer, please PM me, as I really want to know. If you don't remember the question,PM me, and I'll repeat the question
Thanks,
Melvin

Let's try and remember there youngster..."no good deed goes unpunnished".

It had its uses.

The thread may have gotten long etc and started to get embarrassing, but it wasnt necessarily a bad deal. I think its important for all of us to know as much as possible about each other and their abilities, philosophies and thoughts about guns and accuracy. We go through life either building or tearing down our credibility. Usually by actions and words. This information is valuable. Without it, how do we decide on whom to believe, who's judgement is sound, who will lead us down a dead end path, or maybe help us with the worlds next innovation. It has been said in benchrest that every shot makes someone happy, maybe its not the shooter however. In life statements are much the same in that each one adds to who were are. Sometimes they make us and our friends happy, sometime our foes.

the pen is mightier than the sword, only if you own the paper your writing on !

Yes. Sometimes you have to dig through a lot of rocks to find precious stones. That thread had some gems. Now they are gone.

you have it right on the head. we as americans have forgotton this old rule. in my life i have tried some business ventures we are not well to do my wife is a school teacher.

i somehow convinced some banks to loan us money oh the regret of that most of the time! it used to really get under my skin when employees would tell me that we were just rich! needless to say we put up with some bad attitudes and they cost money.

most of the times we lived on less than they did! some of you have some busineses and it is very difficult to make any money you make a living thats it.

as far as what wilbur did? good for him and this board and long overdue. there are a lot of people that dont post anymore i enjoyed their observations.
