i have seen many people with the mirage deflector attached right to the barrel with velcro front and rear. What i am wondering everyone goes to many lenghts to keep anything from coming in contact with the barrel for accuracy then they do this does it hurt ? i realize the deflector is nothing more than a window blind like material. Should i mount mine this way or mount a more solid one to both sides of the forearm instead. I am shooting a 260 remington in f-class at 600 & 800 yrds. thanks john

I use the window blind material, and mount it with three pieces of velcro.

I have never seen a problem with it, but if it makes you feel better just use a piece of paper.

Take an old target and rip it two inches wide or so the length of your barrel then attach it with a couple pieces of rolled up masking tape. You wont get any vibrations that way.
