Milling fiberglass stocks

Since McMillan is no longer inletting there is a bit more work on this HV edge in my mill.
Any tips on type/flute of endmill and speeds for a variable speed bridgeport?
Have to cut the trigger guard inlet and want to avoid chip out. Have a 5/8" radius ball router bit for the inlet...sound choice? Action is 1.350 round 3L.
I have milled some features in other stocks and always had a small chip or two. Want to avoid it as much as possible on this one and all those that come after it.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

Mike, when cutting the trigger guard mortise, I tape the area with blue painters tape before starting. With a HSS four flute end mill at 700 rpm and misting some water on it while cutting, I've never had any chip out. A two flute end mill will want to chip.

Just my experiences with it. -Al

I've chosen now to use exclusively roughing reamers, ie "corn cobs" and for some reason find carbide to be efficacious.

I appreciate the input, Als (the plural of Al?). Thanks! I will definitely try the painters tape and water mist - I also have some 4 flute end mills and will have to pick up some roughing style end mills.
Mike
