I used a meplat several years ago that did a fair job but it was slow, mainly because it did not have a crank handle. Then I tried the Sinclair trimmer that has a crank handle and was much faster but with different hand or finger pressure I would get varying overall lengths that required that I sort by oal. Almost ready to give up I purchased the Hoover Meplat trimmer. After meticulously sorting by bearing surface, I meplat trimmed and each oal is within.0005. You can not press hard enough to change the oal length! I repeat, you cannot press hard enough to change the oal!
