Mcmillan f-class stock VS Tooley MBR

All right i officially have the belly bug. We have been playing around a bit shooting prone with our ppc's and it is a ton of fun and a hole new challenge that i really enjoy. Anyway i have to many short range ppc rifles so one of them is going to go away and i am going to build an f-class type of rifle. I like the mcmillan f-class stock for it feel as well as the mcmillan tooley MBR. I think the f-class offers a little more versatility but i have heard that they can be springy. I would like to hear from some fellas that own them and shoot them your opinion. I had one for a short while a couple years back and i didnt see any problems with it myself but i wasnt really looking for any either. If i dont go with an mcmillan f-class i think i will buy a tooley MBR. Any suggestions? Thanks Lee

You might also consider the Manners F-Class stock... it has a stiffening 'rib' under the bottom to alleviate some of that flex that some people think the McMillan has. Also Precision Rifle & Tool makes a 'low boy' version of their F-Class stock, and a 'low boy' BR version as well that might interest you.

The manners stock is very nice but way to exspensive for what i want to do. there arent any registered f-class matches in my area for hundreds of miles. We just have a little club match 300 yard shoot so i will have to keep thois project simple and affordable. I figure i can buy a tooley MBR from Bruno for 350 bucks and have it pillar beaded for another 200. That will be a pretty darn good stock for my purposes. The mcmillan f-class offersa cheek piece and i can get that stock for 500 or so still not to bad if i felt this stock was a better buy than the tooley. To be honest though, i am not real sure it is, thus the reason for the qustion. thanks a bunch! Lee

i had a mcmillan f-class but coudnt get on with it ,it would bounce in the front bag when the rifle fired ,i know have a low boy from precision rifle and tool and i love it ,great stock tracks like its on rails

I have a McMillan F-Class stock and love it. It is set up with a BAT action and 30" heavy barrel and is chambered in 284 Win.

As I said I jsut love the stock.
