Could anyone tell me if a k98 action can be rebarreled with a M38 Swedish mauser barrel in 6.5x55? What problems would i run into? Thanks!

the swede barrel is too small of diameter to work in a large ring 98 mauser. better off picking up a aftermarket barrel pre threaded, and short chamber for the action you want to use.

The turkish mauser, or rather, some turkish 98 mausers have the small thread and will accept that barrel. I built a .260 rem on a turk using a m38 barrel.
