Match rifles in BR

Has there or do you think there will ever be a class for match power rifles (7.5J or so) and under? Just curious. I know the innovation and trend is on the higher power side but thought with all the match rifles out there that there might be interest somewhere.

The WRABF had a class that was a good fit for many 10m air rifles but lack of interest and other factors eliminated that class.

Lots of folks shoot indoors in the far north at 50 feet as practice for going outdoors to smallbore prone matches. Most of these shooters tell me that 50 feet is at the far edge of where wadcutter pellets perform. 25 y/meters might be just too much for that style of pellet at those power levels.

To answer your question, if there is enough interest, we will consider it. For now, those rifles will compete in LV class.

Ok, cool...just curious. Their power and noise levels lend themselves to urban dwellers like me although some of them still have a nice 'crack' to them. Less chance of major damage when shooting in the garage :)

Why not turn in a Postal series score? Your garage might not be long enough for 25 yards but if you shoot a target and let TDS do the scoring, it might be interesting. Get Chip to try it out.
