!00 yd score match at Rockingham gun club Sat. july 27 match starts at 9:00 am hope to see everyone there

Well, I'm going to go to Rockingham. Gonna shoot a new-to-me 6PPC.

Orien action (Tooley's version of the Predator).
Douglas barrel.
Gene Beggs "superlight" stock.
Column bullets &
LT-32 powder.

With all that new stuff & one session mainly to zero the scope, I should be dead meat for all you guys that already know your stuff...

Greg, the cost of the components and the lack of a travel partner have just about taken me out of the sport. The rock is 1.5 hour drive,Thurmont is closer to 5. I hope for better days but I'm not opptomistic.

The weather was great for the match today, overcast and very calm for the whole match, I've never seen conditions this good at the rock. We had a good turnout, 28 guns I think. The printer wouldn't work so I don't have the results but I think Joe Allen won VFS w 250-23x and Cuz'n Roy was 2nd but I didn't catch his score. I missed Mod results completely and all I have of Factory was Joe Allen won that also w 249-13x. I'm not sure if I have the name right so if I'm wrong someone correct me and give us the mod scores if you have them. Thanks to all that came to shoot and for the ones who helped with the match.

To show how popular 20 X's was, Roy was 2nd in the match, also with 20 Xs. But Roy didn't shoot a 10 until his 3rd target; believe Dale shot one on his second. & somebody probably shot 20 X's with a 10 on the first target...

It was that kind of day, very unusual for Rockingham ... Except, just about everybody had a head-scratcher target, no real conditions, but suddenly the X's weren't there... and that is the Rock... So all is well...

* * * Edit:

BTW, if you live in Carolina or a neighboring state, you might think on coming. These aren't registered matches, but the match fee is $20.00, and most is given back as prize money...

And the competition is pretty fierce....Believe the Factory class yesterday was won with a 250 score (Savage in 6BR). 250's in Factory Clas aren't all that common.
