It was a great day for a match today with pleasent temps, the conditions started out good and went down hill from there. The conditions were mixed without any apparent dominant condition other than all mixed up half the flags red, half green and then they would switch. We had a light turnout with 10 shooters, 6VFS, 3 factory and 1 modified. No one managed to stay clean with Ronnie Davis taking the win in VFS w 249-7x, Dale Avery was 2nd w 248-9x and Ken Eades in 3rd w 248-5x. Thomas Fee won Factory class with a fine 244-2x score ( savage 6br) Charles Ellerston was 2nd w 235-0x and new shooter Gary Walker took 3rd w 230-1x. Philip Curtis was the lone Modified gun. We had a young lady that works for Remington come by to try out her new varmint gun, ( 416 rem mag) I think I heard her say something about cape buffalo varmints, it was quite an impressive round to say the least and the lady was rather impressive herself, she certainly wasn't scared of recoil as she touched off a number of rounds. She said it shot minute of buffalo quite well. I didn't catch her name but my hats off to her! Phil said he would have a match every month as long as the interest was there so come on out and support the matchs. Steve
