Match at the Rock 10-27-12

The final match of the year will be this Saturday, start time 9am. The championships for the year will be awarded also. The weather is suppose to be great so come out and shoot. Good luck to everyone, I won't make this one as the Va. state match is this weekend and I'll be attending that.Thanks to Philip, Phil, Roy and Eric and all the others that make these matches possible, I really enjoy them and hope they continue. Tommy, There will be no report from Steve. He shot the Virginia State match, which was held the same day. I, on the other hand, did shoot Rockingham. I was in second all day, but shot a "9" on the last target. Made me so mad at myself I didn't even stay to clap for the winners. Churlish -- regret that now.

But I don't believe it was Roy, he just had a miserable day (for him), and was mired in the middle of the pack. And Phil shot a "9" on the second or third target, after getting 5Xs on the first. Rockingham's real different after all the earth moved, almost honest. But in some undefinable way, it's still The Rock, and "where the 'ell did that come from" lies just around the corner.

This was the last 2012 match. Maybe Steve can come in & give us a report on the year-long final standings. Until then, for VFS, I'd bet it's Roy Darnell.

Tommy, As Charles said I shot Va. state match. I hope some of the other guys will give us a report as to who whupped who. As for the year long standings I know Roy won VFS, he had it wrapped up before the last match. So come on Roy or somebody give us a report.

I went down and shot the South Carolina VFS State Championships , Saturday. I could not see the x dots until the last three targets @ 200. Never saw a single dot @ the 100 yd leg. I just put the x hair in the middle and shot. Ended up w/a disgraceful 496 16x. The winner, (my friend KP) shot 500-34x, pretty fair by my kack-cuu- laashuns.

Its a B**** ain't it Tommy. You and I need 120X scopes, closer targets, bigger circles, or something. I'll take closer targets myself.
