Mark Harpenau got "Lutherized" yesterday

It was really tough conditions at Luther yesterday. We shot HV and LV 200 yds, and the winds were 20 t0 30 mph.
Congrats to Darrell Loker for winning the 2-gun with a .34xx agg. That tells the story.

First shooter I met there said "welcome to hell" and he was right. But there were times it looked more like a Cirque du Soleil out there. First time I have ever shot a 1.2" and felt pretty good about myself.

Rex runs a real nice match, I plan to go back for more in April!

Rex's program probably isn't set up for figuring the 2 gun. When I got home, I put the results on a spreadsheet and let it figure the 2 gun. Here's the results for those who are interested in seeing how they finished. Luther gets a bad reputation sometimes deserved, sometimes not. With what we were shooting in Sunday, it wouldn't have made any difference what range you were shooting, it would have been difficult. I've seen Luther when it was very shootable and some good aggs and very good groups could be shot there. As with all places it just depends upon what kind of wind conditions you get on the day of the match. By the way, Larry Sharnhorst was shooting an 8 twist .22 BR with a 80 gr Berger for at least one of the 200 yard aggs. It doesn't look like it hurt to be shooting something other than a PPC.

Thanks Mike

For posting all the results. Your right, Sunday would have been tough anywhere. But at the same time I would take those conditions at Mill Creek or Raton much better than Luther. When you can shoot a 1.500 group at 200 yds and not lose many places you know it's tough.
Looking forward to the next match.
