March scope comparison

I was fortunate enough to receive serveral of the origonal 40x March scopes. I have purchased 2 of Gene Davis's optical boosters and have found them to work extremely well. If the mirage starts running too much I just take the booster off.
About the 1st of the yeat I received 2 of the variable Marches and have used them in HV or unlitimed matches. I can't say they are any advantage over the the first 40 powers. The only way a guy is going to know is to try out both set-ups.
Has anyone had a simuliar experience with variables over fixed power?

I'm trying to start a thread about something other than tuners.

Dave,

Can you tell me more about the booster for the March. I have a 40X and love it.

Gene Davis make a screw on lense for the eye piece of a March, Leupold, Nightforce and Sightron. Maybe more by now. They increase the power of you scope approx. 30%. Thus a 45 is now a 60

Thanks Dave,

So the 40X becomes something like a 50X ?

Do the optics suffer noticably ?

How does one get hold of the booster ?

Dave,
I haven't had the chance to shoot my new 60X March scopes very much. I can say that they look every bit as clear and bright as my 40X March with the Gene Davis booster. I'm actually going to try the booster on one of the 60X march scopes just for the fun of it. My initial take on the 60X March is pretty impressive.
