We are shooting our makeup match along with our regular April 19th match this Saturday – 2-3Gun matches and 2 Unlimited matches.
I have arranged to have several (15 or so) of Gary Mitchell’s guns available for sale – I hope that Jimmy will be able to attend also. These guns are good ones – one Sporter shot a 248 at the Crawfish last weekend in its first match, a Suhl used by cousin Steve Lawson shot back to back 250’s at one of the IR 50/50 Nationals – it has not been shot in a match since – I think it may be better than “Ole Blue”, 40X Calfee – 10.5#, 40X Sporter, Kimber –Sporter, plus a few other Suhl’s, Hall’s, and a Turbo.
As a drawing surprise I’ll be giving away a part of an article Gary was working on for publication. This is an interesting piece that no one ever would attribute to Gary.
When the Gulf Coast Regionals coming around June 7 & 8, 2014 I plan to have a video of Gary over the years as an memorial to “The Bear In the Chair”.
