I have a chance to buy Model 52 no letter after the 52 so i believe its a old one it has a 10x Unertel scope on it, it is in exellent shape no rust, shot it to day at 50 YDs with PMC match 5 shots then my cousin shot 5 CCI green tag at the same target and we could cover all 10 shots with a dime, this was off sand bags on the hood of my truck with a 10 mile HR wind and the heavy sling sitting on the bags not a very good setup for real target shooting.
I was wondering if someone could give me some kind of Idea what it maybe worth.
It has a canjer trigger on it when you fire a round and cycle the bolt it will fire when you close the bolt, Dave is a pertty good basement gun smith and he figured out all the adjustments on the trigger, if you pulled the bolt back a couple times before closing it the sear would engage or after every shot you would eject the empty and push up on the small wire that you pull down to get the bolt out the sear would engage and you could close it without it firing. Dave was thinking that the spring that flipped up the sear is weak or maybe the trigger is gumed up it hasnt been shot for years any ideas would be helpful. Thanks Deathray

Biggest problem.

One posibility, is the trigger is just plain dirty. Clean it real good and do not put and oil in the trigger. That may be the only problem. As for what it's worth, that's up to you and the one selling it. As you describe it, I would guess around $1000 including the scope. As Canjar seems to be out of business, you can't get replacement parts for your trigger. You might be able to get someone to make some new parts for it, but he better know what he doing. I have a 52D, and I found that mine had worn down over the years and was doing the same as yours. I had a smith look it over and he said he had to redress the contact area and rehardnen it, but in the process he shortened it and now I have inginition problems. I had to switch back to a modified 52D trigger and it got better. You may not be able to find an original trigger for you model, so It's probably best you look into getting something different if you plan to use it for BR.
