Sorry about that

April 7th and 8th. Somewhere I have a direction sheet made, when I find it I will post that.

Dates and Directions to Range?

Glenn

Glenn, be aware that if you go down 66 to Luther that they are very particular at Arcadia and Luther about their speed limits as in speed traps especially at Arcadia. The speed limit signs are very well marked from about the Pop's convenience store through Arcadia. You can also take the turnpike and take the Luther exit which will take you through Luther to 66 and across the road towards the range. There is a road about 200 yards West on the north access road of the turnpike at the Luther exit where you can bypass going through Luther and come out on 66 about a mile West of where you turn north off of 66 to go towards the range. Don't go down that road with a full cup of coffee as it is pot hole city. Bring the tallest wind flag poles that you have.

Glenn, I made my

tall poles from light bulb changer poles. Extendable paint roller poles work well also. Cale Roby made some that work very well. If you can get to 10 ft that will do it for the most part. Four tall poles will cover most of what you need. Usually there are enough flags out on the range to get you by if you can't come up with any tall flags.

Thanks Richard and John. Its hard not to accept that kinda invitation. I know nothing about making ten foot flag stands. Myself and a friend plan on shooting with ya’ll.

Richard,...Sending you a PM.

One other thing to add

the range will be open for practice on Friday, April 6th for those wanting to get things dialed in before the match.

Richard, do you think there will be more than one relay? Maybe some of us short flag guys can share a bench with some tall flag guy? Yeah, that’s right I’m going to try to make it. I know it’s been a long time but I need to start shooting again.

Dennis, I doubt there will be more than one relay but there is usually enough tall flags on the range to get by if you don't have any. Sunday looks to be windy at this point in time and that makes Luther really fun at 200 for sure. Come on down!!

I know the last time I shot there, probably 10 years ago, I didn’t have tall enough flags. Ratigan shot beside me and I just had to try to see his flags. If work doesn’t get in the way, I’ll see you guys Friday.

Match Report

See attached pdf

It was cold and windy (the aggs show it) But, it was good to see everybody and visit.

Thanks Richard, looks like I missed the fun. I noticed there was a Quake up in the Perry,Okla area,Sat morning that registered 4.6 on the Richter scale. don't know if ya'll felt it at Luther. My Road buddy called Thursday afternoon from his Hospital room. He had just been admitted for examination for injuries after a bad auto accident/collision with a lady that ran a red light. Turns out,his feelings were the only thing hurt. His truck(loaded with Benchrest stuff) was close to being totaled. It put a kink in my plans to attend the Luther Match. I still intend to come up and shoot with ya'll at Luther,Okla. Hopefully in better weather.
