Happy to see that Randy is back among the living. Ya had us worried for a while.
 
There was some great shooting going on in spite of the windy conditions all weekend. We had 12-22 mph winds but that didn't seem to faze many of the shooters. Fred Leeds shot 4 consecutive 2200 targets. Joe must have his gun tuned pretty well. I may have to fly my guns to California for Joe to tune up! Bob Barnhart pulled out the secret ammo and proceeded to shoot a 2400 with the Lapua XACt to come from behind and beat Fred. I think there were a total of three 2400 targets posted last night. One by Randy, a personal best for him, one by Bob and one by Scotty. Man, I lay off for a year and everyone starts shooting lights out. Looks like I've got some catching up to do.
 
I'd like to say I had a great time, really some good eating and visiting with fine people. Now if some one mentions eating Boudin, think the spellings right, I'll know what they mean. The visit to Randy's shop was very enlighting to a new shooter like me, and his sharing of information on how he builds them, plus he does absolutely beautiful rifles, and they shoot good too. Can't beat that combination.
Scotty has a really nice setup and put on a great event so I know I'll be back.
Really enjoyed getting to meet some more fine folks in this sport so I give it a thumbs up.
Oh, and as expected for a Rookie I feel I learned a couple more things plus don't leave a patch in the barrel for it will ruin your start on a target, but I'll remember Marion's advise from now on to put the first sighter way off on the edge of the backer just to be safe.

It was fun to meet a bunch of new guys and good shooters too. Congratulations Bob on some great shooting. The food was good, the beer cold and the stories really got deep. Thanks also to Randy for showing us his spotless shop. Dan I appreciate your allowing me to use your equipment. Hope to see all you guys in Ak on the 3rd. Thanks scotty for a good tourniment and chow,it was good to see everyone and meet some new faces.also congratulations to dan killough and marion collier for thier wins on friday night and saturday afternoon.And thanks to dan killough for donating an awesome gun case to the tourniment:D
