LOP question

When shooting from a bench I notice that I'm haveing trouble getting close enough to get a good sight picture. Do you folks generally shorten you stock's. Thanks, smoker

Hi smoker, I do a combination of stock shortening and selecting bases and rings for my guns. I am thick chested (read that as chubby) and have no neck, so I have the same problem. Don

Try a higher stool or cushion the one you are now using. An old boat cushion works fine.

Short answer, YES!

Typically BR stocks are downright stubby, like 12" or less. My LOP is 13 5/8 and I like an 11" stock for bench shooting.
