Sounds interesting.........
What would a guy need to get into air rifle competition?
Please list the most accurate brands, pellets, etc.

Thanks,
Jeff

Hello Jeff

Take a look at some of the older post here on this forum and you will see quite a few pictures of the equipment that many of us are using.

Your question is difficult to answer because there are many different ways to go depending on your own personal taste.

Need some specifics

Jeff

There are 3 classes so you would need to pick one of them first

Unlimited Match Springer

The gun prices can be anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars depending on manufacturer.
Pellets depend on the gun and while if you ask 100 people what type is best for what gun you will get 3/4 that agree on one or 2 types for said gun and a handful that are brand loyal and the rest will say it depends on the purpose (indoor/outdoor, distance, wind, etc.
I would recommend you just attend a few of the matches and see what people are shooting and ask if you might try a few of their guns. If they are anything like most of the airgunners I have ever met they will gladly let you shoot whatever they have and help you make a decision.

Going back to pellets www.straightshooters.com and probably a few other vendors offer a sample pack for each common size 177 22 that has 25-50 of a couple dozen types of pellets that you can try out.

Good luck I bet you will not stop at one gun heh.

Oh and read other posts here and checkout http://www.network54.com/Forum/79537/
