i am looking to buy a 270 wsm and just wanted some feed back on how others are doing with them. I do alot of 1000 850 500 and 100 yard shooting. Would this be a good caliber

I shoot a 270WSM
I have a Mod 70 Classic and once I had it accurized and broke it the cartridge really started and continues to shine brite. 150 gr Bullet has a relatively high BC . Hopefully your a hand loader? Mine has given me 1/2 MOA with 110 V-maxs before. Sierra 135gr HPBT perform very well.

i have a hart built 700 Remington in 270WSM, same taper and contour as a sendero barrel 26 in plus a muzzlebrake,shoots Sierra 110 prohunters 3450 ft/sec,little cloverleaf groups and instant death on Whitetails, sighted in zero @ 300,about +2.0 @ 100, +3.0@ 200,-9.2 @ 400, -24.25@ 500, never tryed 150 but it shoots 130's just as good just not as flat or as fast, no recoil either, load data avilb if you want

Lots of folks in 1,000 yard F-Class are using the 270WSM and 300 WSM brass as the base to build a 7 / 270 or 7/300 WSM to make use of the 7mm high bc projectiles. I use the straight 7WSM, but would have opted for the 7/270WSM if I had done a bit more research first. There are several threads on this type of cartridge on 6mmbr.com as we speak.
