Looking for a benchrest smith that can contour, chamber, crown and cut threads for my Free pistol 22lr. Threads are metric. I have a barrel. TOZ-35 similiar to a silhouette pistol.

Thanks

There are a bunch of well know gun smiths in Pennsylvania that build benchrest rifles and a few I know in New York. Borden, King, Hammond, Kelbly, Coates, Bowman, Hankins etc. I would think that Bob White at The Shooter's Corner in New Jersey could do it too. I have also had a number of guns built by Doyle Anglin of Dixie Gun in Georgia.

Might not hurt to call Champions Choice in TN. They may be able to steer you to someone that works on match pistols. This is not a BR project.

Yeah they don’t actually work on firearms they send them to pilk. I know it’s not a benchrest. Most benchrest 22 smiths seem to be pretty good at what they do. It’s a barrel contour thread and chamber and most pistol smiths dont do it by lathe chambering anyways

Well, at least Pilk knows what a TOZ-35 is. Good luck finding a gunsmith. I know most of the well known names avoid unusual projects such as yours. It's an interesting project.

Maybe some pictures will peak some interest

I shot with a close friend that has one of those. I am considering trying Free Pistol. Seems like a fun way to spend 2 hours.

Since Gordon Eck is so into Rim Fire Bench Rest, does anyone know if he would do this kind of work?
