On the other forum, the owner posted the results from the 2011 World Championships.

What great memories, as well as, some life lessons, not soon to be forgotten.

Two sage, old benchrest shooters told me that when benchrest shooters came to appreciate air guns, things would never be the same. Coming up on 2 years later and those gentlemen were so right.

The 1st 250 shot by Joe Friedrich in qualifying.

The 1st 250 shot at a World Championship by Dan Brown.

Dan Brown, Todd Banks and Rick Ingraham sweep LV, where the USA had little experience.

Todd Banks wins HV and Team USA takes 5 of top 10 places.

Will Piatt takes 8th place in his first benchrest match.

Todd Banks takes the overall championship and keeps the JSB crystal pellet trophy in the USA.

Dan Brown shoots the first 750, indoors.

Ron Silveira shoots a best 9 0f 15, 2,250 with 143Xs, indoors.

Thank you Larry Burchfield for all of your help, I miss you.

Thank you Frank Tirrell for predicting the future so well, I know, it's hard to be humble.

WOO- HOOO I just got my old EV2 back................it's Bondo time. Eat your heart out Tod Banks.

You forgot one milestone, Steve. Probably the most important of all as NONE of the others could have occurred without this one:
Steve George forms USA Air Rifle Benchrest, allowing the US to field teams for the World Championship.
Thanks for stepping up to the plate Steve and all of the others behind the scenes that have helped you start up and keep USARB running!

And Frank? I shot the Dawson for the first time today. All I can say is "HOLY $%^&". Can't wait to try it with sorted and weighed pellets;)

Todd,

Thank you for the kind words.

My thanks go to the many people that I have leaned on, far too often.

The real unsung special people are the match directors.

Howard Pray, Joe Friedrich, Jim Cyran, Mike Hopkins, Wayne Burns, Dennis DiFeo, Bob Zimmerman, Paul Bendix, Dave Shattuck, Rick Ingraham and yourself. Without them, stepping up to hold matches, there would be no need for any sanctioning organization.

Even LD hosting matches at Temecula is bringing shooters into the sport.

As long as, shooters come and others take responsibility, the future looks bright.
