It would probably work fine. But one thing to consider with the Lone Star - all of the weight is supported by the input shaft. That puts strain on the motor. Brass cases are plenty light, but 1,000 .30 caliber cores weighs a fair amount. Then again, I assume folks tumble rocks in those things, so it's likely built to last.
I use the Thumler AR-12. Solid tumbler for about $200.

any tumbler wil work if you use zip lock bag core seat lightly then smear light amt. Of lanolan and neatfoots oilon inside of zip lock with 500 jackets for 20 min i do use another zip lock over that for caution.has anyone used a lonestar now big shot tumbler? Do you think it would work for bullet making? I can get one for a good price. I was thinking for lubing cores or jackets i could put a large mason jar and a towel for padding.
