Hello All

I'm totally new to the 6BR Norma. I just screwed on a Pac-Nor 22" 1-14 twist tube on a Savage action. Used barrel with 300-400 rds through it.
I realize the 6PPC and its offspring rule this forum but I'm sure many of you still remember the old 6BR:D

From what I've read many consider Benchmark and N-133 a touch too fast in the 6BR. Not sure why, they seem to work just fine for me but.....

I started with cheapo 58gn Hornady V-Maxs to acclimate myself to this new round. I shot an Audette ladder with Benchmark at 200yds and pulled two nodes out of it. 31.6 and 33.0 gns.
In group testing 33.0 was the clear winner. At .015 jam it shot a .198 at 100yds with a very frozen trigger yanker behind it. A little thawing and tweaking should improve that.

Sunday I shot an Audette with N-133 and the 58's. Haven't had a chance to shoot groups with it yet but I think 30.8 and 32.0 look like good places to start.
Pretty hard to read this test at 200 because it just shot so darn tight but I do not have access to longer ranges. Just judging by the ladder tests it seems the N-133 will be much better than the Benchmark. It just consistently chewed a vertical hole in the target as the charge increased.

Heres my question. Am I in the ballpark with these loads or would you rather not have me on the bench next to you shooting these?

I saw no dangerous pressure signs with the Benchmark at 33.4 which is where my test stopped. It is well over book max but unless I'm mistaken thats normal procedure for top accuracy.

The N-133 had slightly sticky brass at 32.9gns. Might be the fact that these cases were fire formed to a tight head space and shoulders not bumped back.
The bolt closes with a little resistance on an unfired round. Either way there should be plenty of accuracy to be found without going higher than 32.0

Should I run my brass through the body die every time?

I'd very much appreciate your thoughts and opinions.
