Thanks Boyd i appreciate that!! Lee
The reason i asked about this is that i just purchased a new Leupold 45X for my Bruno PPC. I currently have a Leupold 36X BR-D scope on the rifle now. My weight is 10.4 pounds.
I have a set of Davidson 30MM rings that i am hoping to use. The new scope is a bit heavier as you all know so i should be really close. Maybe a bit to close. Bruno said he made this rifle with the 45X scope in mind. So it should work out. I just hope i dont have to buy a new set of Kelby single screw 30mm scope rings. These 30mm scope rings i have, i bought second hand, and the fella i bought them from said they were davidson rings. I know they make bases but i cant find any info on davidson rings. They look like a nice set of rings. They are rounded in contour, not flat sided like the kelby. They are double screw but not much wider than a single screw kelby ring. I guess i am not real sure exactly what i have, but like i said they do look pretty well made, and the price was right!! I hope i can make all this work, or i will just have to keep the good old 36X on the rifle and use the 45X on the 30BR. Thanks again! Lee
PS there is a set of BAT 30mm rings on 6br for sale right now that look pretty good. they have the 20moa built into them, and i really dont need that. I would be interested in them if i knew what they weighed? I asked the seller if he knew, but he hasn't gotten back with me yet. anyone here know what they might weigh? I also looked on BAT web site but i couldnt come up with much.
