Letter to IBS

Mike Ezell
Dear IBS,

I don't shoot a 30BR. Yes it's still a 30 cal, but since it's not the cartridge that most say dominates score shooting, I'm asking to be scored with a different reticle. I think in the interest of keeping a level playing field, that I should be scored with at least a 45 cal reticle....just to make it fair, you know. If possible, the Ky. state match is this weekend. Would you please tell Jackie to use the bigger reticle on my targets?

NOT Sincerely,
Mike Ezell:)

Dear IBS,

I think in the interest of keeping a level playing field, a handicap system should be adopted and updated regularly until everyone ties for 1ST place. But until then can we implement the handicap system immediately. I think for the KY state shoot this weekend we deduct 2 points and 8 x's for Mike Ezell. This should get him down close enough to my score so I'm not embarrassed.
MOST Sincerely,
Tony :O

Thanks Tony, but I can't stand any more obstacles standing in my way. You are trying to be like Ron Jackson....very modest while kicking my butt. I know what you're up to. Good luck this weekend. Look forward to seeing everybody.--Mike Ezell

If you'll accept a comment from somebody outside the game, I think you're going about it the wrong way. What you should be doing is looking for a level playing field.

I suggest that after each match, the winner's gear should be held by the officials, tested for group, & resmithed by the club armourer until it shoots 10% worse than the test grouping, before being handed back to the owner with the club's seals on all critical elements so the good work couldn't be reversed.

If it turns out that it's taking too long for the tail enders to catch up, then you could maybe work over the first three placings each time at maybe 20%, 15% & 10% downgrade respectively.

However, I know you guys are sensitive to these types of solutions Stateside, so maybe you could just pool all the gear at the start of a match & draw for equipment at the same time as you draw for position.

Sincerely

John

Hey John I think an even easier solution is that the judges should fire a 5 shot group and then clean the gun for the winner using 10 patches coated with an 80 grit lapping compound followed buy a good scrubbing with a stainless steel brush.

It's good to see that some of us still have a sense of humor.

George, you shooting this weekend? Heck! A parking sticker and a 7mm to boot. I wouldn't count you out though, buddy.

George told me that he was sure that IBS was having a meeting about this right now;). They must be. That would explain the lack of responses to this:rolleyes:

mr wezell I heard tell that your request was taken so seriously that osamabama himself is looking into this since fairness is of the utmost importance to hm.

I even heard that they are going to create a new 460 short mag caliber for the handicapped shooters to use. Ohhh excuse me those shooters with disabilities.
Disabilities...... oh yes they are disabled in that they are unable to hit the 10 ring or the x....hehehhehehehe

cheessseeee Francis chillllll or do I need to send you that pic that I sent you so many years ago of the Michigan winter garage where the pipe burst,,,, that was a hoot.

Without getting into politics....I don't think I can stand that much so called "fairness" for too long.

Just for Francis

Just for my good friend Francis.
Do you remember this from so many years ago?

Better yet...

Move benches to the 50 yard line so the 6mm's and the .22's can fire at the same time the .30 are firing from 100 yards.....

:D
