I had a real bad mishap with my geovids. Anyway, I have a hairline crack directly under the pivot of the two occulars and laser. I sent them back to Leica and is all they wanted to do is make me buy a new pair. My glass appears to be fine and the rangefinder still works good. it is just now i see double vision when looking through both occulars at the same time. Is there anyone out there that might be able to fix them besides Leica. Thank you TC

Your situation with Leica's customer service seems to be the norm and not the exception. I guess they don't subscribe to the theory that good service leads to repeat sales.
good luck

Leica Service

I've been using Leica optics and cameras for more than 30 years. Have had a few minor problems and they were taken care of without issue. They have certified repair centers worldwide.

I have added this after reading a couple of my warranty cards. All of my cameras and the only binoculars I own made by Leica are covered with a lifetime warranty. The only exception to this lifetime warranty is the Geovid and LRF Rangemasters. There is actually another exception. If the Leicas were purchased "grey market" they are not covered. You'll find a lot of the "grey market" items in N.Y.

I had an issue with my Leica spotting which was self inflicted. It required being sent back to Germany for repair and to refilled with nitrogen.
My cost was $35! I consider that to be great service.

$35.00 has been the cost for repair or replacement for as long as I can remember. There is a reason they have been in business since 1850. Quality and service.

mine is similar in that it was self inflicted. They did send them to germany, and i was sent a bill of $780. I told them to send them back for now as i just did not have the money. This is still cheaper than another pair, but i was looking for another alternative. Thank you for the input.
