In case you haven't heard Ron Sundberg passed away on February 28. You can find his obituary in the Olympian or at Funeral Alternatives of Washington. Ron was quite an inspiration to me in my early day of shooting rimfire benchrest. He was always a fierce competitor. Ron held world records in IR 50/50 and USBR in 1998. We are diminished.

Great shooter

Ron won the IR50-50 Nationals at least once. (back then the Nationals had much larger crowds of shooters). He was a great shooter, and the sporter taper offered by Lilja is named after him. He was very tall and his rest height was unusual. Quiet guy and a fierce competitor. In other words he came back East and kicked our butts !!
