Steve will be missed; he was Gary Mitchell’s first cousin and had the same ability to shoot. I remember his shooting back-to-back 250’s in a Hagerstown IR 50/50 National. He stopped shooting several years ago, but we would see him often visiting Gary.

I really hate to hear of this news. Steve Lawson was as fine a fellow as I've ever had the opportunity to meet, and to shoot with. He helped me a lot when I first got into rimfire, and he was always willing to help others as well. He was definitely a class act, and a great shooter. He was missed a lot when he stopped shooting with us.

Bob, thanks for posting this. Steve will definitely be missed by many.
My condolences to his wife and family. All great people.
 
Steve will be missed by all who knew him, he was such a great person and a great competitor! Let's keep his family in our prayers.
