i was wondering about why there are now left handed twist barrels? has anybody tried this and what was the outcome from it? i don't think i've seen this question before on here so i figured i'd ask just to see what the answer was.

Those are made for the folks in the southern hemisphere....particularly for the mates in Ozzyland.

Used for years

Nothing new. They were used for years, in both Hemispheres. Those Old Timers that used them usually beat up on us regularly. Is it as good as what we have available today? I doubt it.

Mr. Kielly would not pull your leg. This is a centerfire barrel but it will serve the purpose of confirming what he said. I am a frugal sort so I combined both left and right hand twists in one barrel. When I travel to OZ I simply reverse the barrel.

Gentlemen, changing a twist from clockwise to counter clockwise is not accomplished by reversing the barrel. Instead one needs to turn the barrel inside out.......

Very good point, Rock. That also works well with shorts and socks.

Rubbish. You just chamber the other end of a normal barrel ........

Come on John !!!!

You are kidding, right?

I was just as serious - just like Don & Rock!

Actually thought that!

I wanted my flag daisies to spin the other way so I turned them around. That effort finally convinced me that the 70's did in fact have an impact on my ability to reason.
