Left hand shooters for the nationals

This weekend at KS City I talked with Larry Scharnhorst about getting a rotation going for us left hand shooters. When filling out your application ask for the left hand rotation with Larry.
And Larry, I know you are lurking here. I have hung a chickens head over my HV to ward off your hex you put on my rifle for the last group at 100 yds. You better be ready for Luther, I am after you now:)

You had better watch out about that "hex stuff" and Larry. When I first met Larry, he was 6'4" like you and right handed. Wayne Blackketter used some of his "indian medican man stuff" on Larry and look at him now.
Short, bald, left handed and ugly. Wayne felt bad about what he had done to Larry so he gave Larry just enough power to be dangerous. Larry hexed Ron Hoehn one time but all it did was make some of his hair
fall out. You don't have to worry about Larry lurking around on the computer because Sue only turns it on for
him about once a month. I don't have to worry about Larry trying to hex me because I will make him sleep outside with the dog on Friday night. What makes that bad is I don't have a dog.

I can verify some of that...

The first time I saw Larry he was wearing yellow short shorts and had a curly red Afro. Wayne may have put a hex on him, but I think it was an improvement. Rex had to start bringing him to the matches so he wouldn't pack up and go home. Because of Rex's help in making him shoot until the match was over, Larry has become quite a shooter now days. It's amazing how well you can finish when you can't leave early.

For shame Rex and Mike..............That's terribly......Terrrrrrrrrrrrrribly FUNNNNY..............................Ha!

Last Luther shoots gonna be extra fun..! Sharny's gonna bring his good bullets and barrel(s) now...............

hehehe...

You guys don't know the half of it !!!
When Larry was a lot younger, (he was NEVER good looking), when he was shooting with Bishop, Bailey, and "Rabbits", he was 6'-2"!!! Then the "Group Gods" took a dump on his forehead, and look at him now.

Let's not be too hard on Larry, he's been shooting very well this year, although he did come up a little SHORT at the Supershoot. BTW-if you see the pic of all the March scope users taken there, look closely and you will see Larry is standing on a shooting stool so he could be as tall as the fifth grader in the picture. They're pretty easy to tell apart--the 5th grader has hair.

Sorry I kind of high jacked your thread. It was very "short" sighted of me. Richard, sometime I will have to tell you about the coyote hunt that Dennis and I took Larry on. You can't make up stuff as funny as that happened.

Rex,
I had taken my spotting scope to KS City to kind of keep track of what was going on. I had shot a nice mid .2 at 200 and told Larry to come take a look. Larry gets up there and looks at the height of the tri-pod and just walks away. That's the "short" version of the story.

One thing about Larry, you won't find anyone that will take ribbing as well as Larry does and is as good natured as he is about it. I didn't make up the short shorts and big red afro though, probably about '82 and it was when he was traveling with Bishop. There are probably a lot of us that you wouldn't recognize if you saw early photos when we used to be able to grow hair. Now it just takes less time to get a haircut. My barber says what he charges me is for a hunting fee.

Josh and I are planning on shooting the nationals and he'd probably like being on a left handed relay although I did like him following me in the rotation as it made it easier not having to remove equipment from the bench.

What I would like to see is the word out when the registrations are being accepted. There is at least 6 of us planning on coming from the Great White North and rumors floating that the number of entries accepted is limited. I have planned my entire vacation around this shoot and I would hate to not be able to go........

If I remember right, they can't limit the number of entries at the nationals. I don't think that will be a problem in this economy

Rex I hope you are right on the first part but sorry to hear about the second part. If anything the downturn in the US has made it more affordable for the blue collar workers like myself to make trips to the US and spend my money in your country.

So looking forward to shooting with and against the legends of this sport in Kansas.
