Leade angle?

I am probably not using the correct terminology, but I am referring to the angle that the chambering reamer cuts the lands (normally 1.5 degrees). I am having COL Stevens chamber a Hart barrel in .22 PPC, and I don't have my own reamer. He has one that has all the measurements that I seek except that the leade angle is 1 degree rather than 1.5 degrees. Does anyone have any experience with this type of leade? I had a 22ppc that had a 1 deg lead that was probably the best shooter that I've owned, that being said it was probably the barrel that made it shoot not the reamer. The land mark will be longer when seated in the lands with the 1degree which is probably a good thing. Allie Euber made me some 22's on a .740 jacket that were absolutely poison, He may still have a few laying around. Good luck, Scotty

At around $138, from Pacific Tool and Gauge, owning your own reamer is a good investment. I own three. I send Billy my reamer, and he returns it to me, each time he chambers a barrel for me.
