Latest project, rest base

I have just about finished a base for a rest I am building. It has turned out ok, nothing to write home about. I have figured out I really want/need a mill. Seems like there is always something else you want.

You show that to us and we say:"Nice job, beautifully done." Show it to your wife she says:"What's it for, wouldn't it have been cheaper just to buy one?"

Looks great! A mill is useful and fast but it's amazing what a lathe and some ingenuity can accomplish.
 
Hey those look pretty nice Jeff. I am not going to get real crazy about this thing as it a going to be a gift for my wifes brother in law. I have already gone way beyond what I was planning to do. He loves to shoot but doesn't have anything to shoot from. This will be fine for what he will use it for.
