Lapua Center-X (blue carrier)

Hello all, new member here, new to the discipline too. I shot my first scored target (Fun Fire) with Todd the fellows at Salem last night, Thanks!...now it's time for a new budget....

My question is;
Has anyone experienced a change in Lapua Center-x. Last two seasons' lots (don't know the numbers) had black shell carriers, and shot very consistent for me. Bought another couple bricks this winter and they had blue carriers...not as consistent.

Just hoping for a broader (and better) sample of experiences.

Thanks,
Jeff

Yes, I've noticed a change. I'm getting better lots now than before. I get mine from Charlie Scott, but the only blue "carriers" I've seen are in boxes of X-Act. All my Center X is in black carriers.

I opened a case of Center-X obtained from Charlie last weekend. It has the blue carrier. This Center-X is better than last years Midas+ I have on hand. I opened a second case of the same lot out of curiosity. It too has the blue carrier. My question; why should we care what color the carrier is? bob

Which lot # are the ones that "shoot better than midas+", and would it be too much for a new guy to ask how to get in touch with "Charlie"?

Color doesn't matter, of course. My blue lot# (that doesn't shoot as well for me, from Champion's Choice this winter) is
365 44 5 1103 6

Thanks for the help!
Jeff

Center X lot number, blue carrier is 265445931.

Charlie Scott can be reached via <cspss@att.net>

If you type "Charlie Scott" into this threads' search function his e-mail and telephone number will be on your screen quicker than you can type the question. Try it. bob

I saw several shooter using Center-X last night, and some were in Blue Carriers and some in Black. Neither one had an advantage.

My last test lots came with the blue carriers too. I just bought a case from Charlie as well, and it does shoot better than any of my Midas+. Fine with me, it's $6.00 a box less!
