KOWA 82 S V scope thoughts

looking at one of these as i do not want to spend all the money on the spotting scope and have none left over for a new gun. I know the angled models lose a little in clarity and have a celestron (had a pentax pf80ed but sold it as not any diffeence than the celestron for a 1000 bucks more)

are these scopes OK and popular, as I heard the SV is the shooters version of the KOWA line, and a lot of highpower folks buy them from creedmore sports, (at least that is what she said)

with the 20-60 eyepiece they are about 1100 bucks and much cheaper than the ones for 2 grand,

will they work pretty good compared to the pentax, or others, and anything else you think of (they have a 25x straight power but I think the variable will help in the mirage)

your thoughts

Kowa is one of the best glass on spotting scopes. i have a set of Highlanders for hunting and spotting. They are straight 32X eyepieces. I like the straight power eyepieces because i think they are better. I also have a set of Pentax 80 HD'S put together and the Kowas beat the Pentax hands down. Especially in bad conditions. They are not cheap. Try Europtics for probably the best price.

Give me a call and i will give you a good price on the kowas i am a dealer for kowa.

bought the holiday special (with upgrade to 20-60 eyepiece) from creedmore sports, today is the last day

sent an e-mail to shawn but he must have been busy, just so you know I did not ignore the offer to help

Out of curiosity, (and after the emotion's of a new purchase has worn off), let us know how it compares to the Celestron, if you would...

Thanks in advance
