Kettlefoot

What is the best airport to fly into? Thanks Fred

It is a well built and maintained range. The people in charge are great people.
Whoever invented the wind rose thingy never shot at Kettlefoot and the first relay sun is a killer.
Now you know the full story

Rusty Dog,
I've camped both at Kettlefoot and down the road a bit at the KOA in Kingsport, TN(about 15 miles South, iirc) You'll have to check with Cliff Keesee ahead of time to get a spot at Kettlefoot. You can just make out Danny Heplers 5th wheel in the first picture. I liked camping at the range, but my wife travels with me and likes the full hookups at the KOA better.

kettlefoot

as i look at that amazing layout it is really astounding what a group of people can do together isnt it.

How do you get to Kettlefoot? I have not been able to find it on any of the maps. Will be going there for the PSL Match. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Walt

I copied this from a Google link:

To get to Kettlefoot Rod & Gun Club - At Exit 1 on I-81 in Bristol, Virginia,
take Highway 58W (Gate City Highway) towards Gate City. Go about 5
miles and turn right on State Road 700. After about 50 yards turn left of
State Road 631. Watch for Kettlefoot sign and gravel driveway to right after
about 0.75 of a mile.

Its a long drive for me too. See you in May for the PSL. bob finger

This should help. Get you a good GPS, and you won't get lost as often.
