I'm new to the world of benchrest, and am in the process of modifying a bench rifle to suit my needs, and have a question or two.
I have a 40X, .22LR with a 24" Brux barrel, around .9" at the muzzle, and I'm thinking of putting a BRFB stock on it. The stock is 1-1/2#, and will fit my gun well. Is this a good/decent stock for .22 benchrest? Or would it be better for centerfire benchrest, and I should look for something else? I've also looked at stocks that with the angle of the butt parallel to the forend, and am wondering which to go with. I really like the look/features of the Kelby, and am hoping it will work, but can switch horses, as it were, if I'd be better off with a different geometry stock.
