Kelbly's Rings on a Daystate

I finally got out in the shop and modified some benchrest rings to fit my CRX. I had to mill .045 off the bottom of the rings and then spread them slightly so they would easily slide onto the dovetail without damaging the finish. To spread them I installed the clamp screw in from the opposite side and inserted the thickest feeler gauge I could get into the slot. The screw could then bear against the feeler gauge and open up the gap a tiny bit.

Kelblys on AG's

Hello crb.I'm very interested in your findings relating to modifications and range results with the Kelblys rings. As the airgunning community has just recently lost the option of BKL rings (no longer in business),we are basicly fresh out of options for a reliable system to mount our glass without cross-over concerns. You indicated mach. 045 off the bottom of the Kelblys...could you please expand on exactly what was done and how it all worked out.I've just recieved a AA Ev2 mk2 I'm in the process of setting up for AGBR,and will be using an Elite,so med.height rings won't require a riser.Thank's for giving the Kelblys a try on your DS and making them work, providing a high quality option for us.And they look great to boot.Just found out my old home club where I was an RSO for a number of years is now holding monthly AGBR matches......sounds like fun at the old home away from home.Project 2000 range also has a 100yd indoor, had already planed on a visit to dope the scope on the Ev.Your reply will be much appreciated. Best regards,Mark

It is my understanding that Kelbly's keeps these rings in stock with the .045" already machined off the bottom for use on Anschutz rimfires.
