Ladies and Gents,
71 shooters attended this year’s NBRSA Eastern Region Pennsylvania State Championship (and pie eating contest) at the Kane Fish and Game Club this past week. Warm hospitality and great food continues to place the annual Kane match as the largest attended NBRSA Group match in the Eastern Region each year… by far! Thank you everyone for coming and supporting this great match!
It was certainly great to see all age groups represented at this year’s Kane match from 11 year old Henry Miller to 102 year old Stan Buchtel!
Here’s the recap from our match!
Saturday Morning ~ HV100 Agg:
Fresh from his recent $500+ hair cut, Don Rosetti put on quite a shooting clinic by winning both Grand Aggregates!
Don started off his flawless weekend winning the HV100 with an excellent .1600” agg. In 2nd place Milt Craven continues to impress everyone with a very fine.1900”. Al Auman, who consistently shoots well, finished 3rd with a .2112” agg. Hal Drake showed why is a top shooter everywhere he shoots finished 4th with a .2166” .agg. And Don Jeffers put together a fine .2248” agg for 5th place.
After a very hearty lunch of Italian Sausage, Sloppy Joes and…..PIE…we were met with more very mild conditions for the start of the LV100 agg.
Saturday afternoon ~ LV100 Agg:
Mr. “Perfect Hair” Don Rosetti started to roll with another great agg of .1636” for 1st place. Pando Vasilovski, our Safety Director, finished 2nd with a fine .1814” agg. The ever pleasant, “Long Island Stangler” Howy Levy finished 3rd with an .1850” agg, despite accidently hitting the trigger on his first group which was only a .201”. Geez… How lucky can he get? Howy’s life partner, Troy Trabacchi, finished 4th with a close .1880” agg. Up and coming Chris Hooks finished 5th with a very nice .2060” agg as well.
A special note of congratulations goes to 11-year old Henry Miller with his very nice .158" group he shot on his 4th match during the LV100 .agg. I know his Dad, Scott, was very proud! Won't be long until Henry starts putting a string of these little groups together!
Each of the shooter’s were treated to a fine dinner put on by the club Saturday evening. The annual Saturday night party on the porch kicked-off without any hitches. Always a great time to spend with all our friends who come to the Kane match from near and far each year! It was great to also see several of our Eastern Region shooter’s attend the Kane match, despite recent health issues. We will keep each of you in all our prayers!
On to the 200yd stage….
Unlike last year, Dave Bruno and his dysfunctional entrourage managed to arrive at the range much earlier (7:45AM) this year for the 8AM start of the LV200 agg. Hey... who needs more than 2 hours of sleep a night anyway?
