Just wanted to say hello and Happy New Year to everyone and ask a question.
I'm going to try and make some matches this year. Not sure which ones. It will be determined by my work schedule.
My question is; Can one still be competitive without a tuner?
I stopped shooting just as tuners were catching on and want to shoot again. But, I'm not in a position right now to get new barrels & tuners. So, I was wondering if I could still be competitive? I have everything I need except bench time.:)
If so I guess the next step would be to learn how to do everything again.

I am probably as big a fan of tuners as anyone. But to be fair and honest, to me they only make things easier, not better. If you know how to tune a load you will shoot just as good as you ever did, maybe better. Tuners are great, but ehy won't make a bad barrel or a bad load shoot. It still comes down to barrels, bullets and wind flags.

Thank you both for the replies. I guess I'll start seeing what all I have exactly. I know I have plenty of brass. Just don't remember the condition of it. Guess I better start trying to relearn/remember everything now and get some bench time.
