Very sweet gun I topped with a 36X Leopold. Seems to shoot only tens the couple times I have taken it to the range (not complaining). How often should I be cleaning the barrel? Does it get copper fouling like a center fire rifle requiring regular cleaning to maintain good accuracy? I am used to only cleaning my Anschutz .22 Super Match once a year if I am using the same ammo (Wolf Match extra) or more often if I change brands of ammo. The Hornady HMR ammo I bought seems pretty accurate but is there anyone that's ever going to make match grade ammo? I know Eley makes if for the other shorter .17, why don't they make it for the .17 HMR? Anyone with any experience at all with shooting the .17 in bench rest matches? I welcome any comments. So far it seems to buck the wind pretty well and shoot tight groups. I have only had it out a couple times but have yet to have a shot that I could blame on the ammo.
