It is with a heavy heart that I received word today from Bruce Broughton of the passing of his Mother, Juanez Broughton. Juanez and her Husband Harold Broughton (founder of Broughton Rifle barrels and gunsmith) were the people who were a big part of the building of the Raton Shooting Center, in Raton , New Mexico.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the Broughton family.

We are diminished. Behind most great men are great women. I didn't know Juanez, but I am sure that she was such a woman. I was privileged to meet Harold on a couple occasions and he was a true icon of Benchrest shooting. God bless the Broughton family. James Mock
 
Sorry to hear about this. I spent a lot of time around Harold and Juanez, both great people.
