On the 6th card at the Oper Grove club tournament Joe Friedrich shot a 2500. Congratulations on some fine shooting.

Once again proving who's the best! Congratulations Joe.

Joe,
Great shooting! Was it with your new toy?

Thank You Gentleman. Paul no, the rifle is being fitted with some new pieces. The firing pin finally let go on Sweet Pea, forgetting there was another turbo and was troubled before the match weekend, Fred came to the rescue and suggested swapping out pins or just using the other bolt. The other bolt worked just fine, Thanks Fred.

I'm Dumb

Joe:
How does a FP let go? I've had springs go weak, but never let go. Was that on a Turbo?

Fred, i bet it was a turbo , they are famous for springs going weak pretty fast, My 40-x let go 2 years ago at the nationals on practice day, it broke the tip off of it ... when it let go it let go........

Fred,
It's a 2 year old Turbo, I have had issues with the tip and it finally reached that point. Another thing it worked loose and there was just to much side to side and in and out movement of the FP IMO. With the amount of rounds that have been though it, it was just a matter of time.

Joe,
For those of us who are a long way from Turbo central and might be thinking about buying a Turbo, what is the exact problem with the firing pin and how easy is it to fix or does it need to go back to Flash? If you don’t what to post it on the forum peter@oz-rba.com

Tongue in check

Joe:
I'm aware of the Turbo's that have had that problem. It's one that Flash has addressed on later FP's. I think he Silver Solders them in now.

joes shooting

well it just proves up a great shooter can overcome any adversity and keep on keeping on and win. not only that but a perfect score on top of that.

joe you are a blessed man.

congratulaions and i would like to know what you are using.

bob

Congrats on another great target Joe! I have a feeling you will shoot more 2500's in the future. Keep up the effort!

Thanks Guys, I really do appreciate it, but I wasn't going to say anything about it, until it was verified. That was the reason I did not post the scores. There has been a lot of friction at times on the forum, and did not want to create anymore of it.

JMHO,

Joe
