As far as I can tell, the Jewell Custom BR trigger is rated at 1.5 oz. to 3.0 oz.

Is it possible to adjust this model out to a heavier weight, say 4 oz. or a little more to allow a beginner to get the feel before reducing it to a more proper BR weight?

Thanks in advance, GG

Why would you want to do that. Once a technique is learned its hard to relearn. Keep the trigger set up as you shoot 1.5oz and leave it there. Its like using cheap ammo to practice then shoot the good stuff in a match what did you learn. Practice with the stuff you shoot with.

Lew, do you know if the BR can be run out to 4 oz. ?

Gordon,

I don't know the answer, that said, do you think it will make that much difference? I'll bet that a new shooter that's used to the 8 pound trigger of a Ruger won't be able to tell the difference in 2 or 4 ounces.

I've started a few shooters on my gun as young as 8 yrs and in a secure safe rest they all got the hang of the light trigger in a couple of shots. But I would call Jewell if you want the strait scoop on adjusting a trigger outside its rated pull. Perhaps with a spring change or something like that he can tell you best.

Yes it can be set to 4oz, just order it with the B spring or tell them what weight you want. PS if you want to go to 1.5 or 2oz you will need the C spring too.

Gg I Think It Would Be Better Getting Use To Shooting The Trigger At 2 Oz.you Can Adjust A 2 Oz. Jewell Trigger And They Are Very Safe.
