I have two Jard triggers for the Rem. 700. I would not have the second one if I had been smart enough to only order one to try.
After a great deal of polishing and change to a lighter spring it is down to 2 lbs. not the 14 oz. advertised for the "drop in" kit.
I called the manufacturer to ask some questions and was treated poorly to say the least.
Never again, I would not recommend them to anyone. If some one wants one installed they better be capable of doing it themselves, I won't help; and the manufacurer won't either.

I looked at one of these conversions when they first became popular. IIRC, the geometry of the replacement parts actually placed the trigger sear surface BEHIND the pivot point of the trigger lever. That required additional pressure on the trigger lever because you were actually raising the sear block or putting pressure on the internal parts.
Later models may not be the same or they may be, I dunno.
A properly adjusted Remington trigger or any of the aftermarket triggers would be a better choice, IMO.

I hope that this does not violate the "do not speak badly of manufacturers" policy. If it does, please tell me and I'll delete this post.

Got two JARD's on Remington 700's and two Sharpshooter Supply triggers on Savages, and have to say that the SSS triggers are much better. The JARD's can be made to work, but mine don't seem to hold adjustment even with the screws loctited.

Odd... Both my JARD triggers function flawlessly and are dead on for pull weight. I didn't have to fiddle with polishing anything or dinking with this, that or the other. I just followed the enclosed instructions and made the adjustments and have two nice 14 oz. triggers. That being said, the JARD triggers replaced older Remington 700 triggers, not the new POS triggers they currently install.
