I wanted to let everyone know how pleased I am with not only the quality of Ivy Rods product (it's truly a great, great cleaning rod) but also with the level of their customer service.
The first unit I rec'd was damaged by the USPS (tube was crushed and the rod was bent to where I couldn't straighten it back out). Denny Ivy fortunately had the package insured and so we started the claim process to have their money refunded. Not only did he and DebMarie (his wife), quickly act on the claim they went ahead and made a new rod and sent it out promptly (despite not having rec'd the payment on the claim filed).
I rec'd the new rod within a week and while I was in the process of making a tube to protect the rod, it fell out of the case and the tip was ruined by striking my tile floor. Heartbroken, I e-mailed Denny and explained what I had done. He promptly replied, told me how to fix it and shipped me two replacement tips in the mail.
It's rare that you receive such great attention to make things right and I wanted to let everyone know who may be in the market to purchase one of his rods, it's money well, well spent. They're a little more expensive than a Tipton or Dewey, but the advantages of an integrated jag, excellent craftsmanship and terrific customer service far outweigh the slight monetary difference. Just wanted to let you'll know that IMO they represent the highest level of character that us rimfire folks are lucky to be involved with!
Here's a link to their website if any of you are on the fence about which rod to get: http://www.ivyrods.com
