It's almost Luther time again!

May 5th and 6th. Come on out to Luther,OK (Okie Shooters) and have some fun shooting
a 10 shot UL match and also HV- 5 shot. This will finish up the Okla State 3 and four gun.

The weather will be all sunshine and light breezes :)

The match will start at 12 noon!!

Also might add that for those competing with a bag gun during the UL match it will be a LV match

Sat will be HV and UL @100 yds and Sun will be UL and HV @ 200 yds.
This is the latest information from John Dumas. John also said during the UL the bag guns will be shooting 5 shot and competing for a plaque. But those guys won't be in the running for the 4-gun unless they want to shoot 10 groups which of course they can.

That's a carry over from when Luther used to be a one day shoot. At first it was 2 pm when we'd start shooting. That allowed everyone that was going to the match to travel there the day of the match. I'd leave at about 6 am and get there at about 10 am. Shoot a couple of hours and be ready for the match to start at 2. Even starting at 12, it still save the expense of one nights motel room. Back when I was younger, Joe Archer and I would get up early on Saturday morning and drive about 500 miles to the match at Kansas City. Kansas City at that time would start at 5 pm and quite often finish up in the dark under lights. Then the next morning they would start at 8 am. We'd get home about midnight or later Sunday night and go to work on Monday morning. Probably wasn't worth a flip on Monday then, but certainly couldn't do it now. It takes me about a week now to fully recover from a weekend match.

Unfortunately, the Bluebonnet at New Braunfels is the same weekend as Luther. We are having a brief GC region meeting after the match on Saturday at New Braunfels so will be there for the match and the meeting.
